If you are a fan of cranberries, you’ll want to try this really easy recipe for Fresh Cranberry Relish! There’s no cooking—just add all the ingredients to your blender or food processor, chop them up, and it’s done! It’s super easy and tastes great!
Fyi, in case you didn’t know, cranberry relish is different from cranberry sauce—cranberry sauce is cooked and typically sweeter than cranberry relish. Cranberry relish is not cooked, and it’s made with fresh, raw ingredients. So this is actually pretty healthy!

Makes 2 to 2 1/2 cups, about 4 to 6 servings
3 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed
2 1/2 Tablespoons orange zest
1/4 cup orange juice (use fresh-squeezed if you have it)
1/2 cup honey
Optional: 1/2 Tablespoon freshly-grated ginger or 1 to 2 Tablespoons chopped crystallized ginger
Optional: Orange zest and a few slices, for garnish
Place all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and chop until fine.
Store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Or freeze it for up to 2 months.
When ready to serve, garnish with some orange zest and a few orange slices, if desired.
NOTE: Serve this relish with turkey or use it as a spread or topping on sandwiches, toast, yogurt, pancakes/waffles/French toast, a bowl of oatmeal, or ice cream.

This is a perfect cranberry sauce! In the old days, there was a recipe on the cranberry package for cranberry orange sauce where you ground up the fresh cranberries with whole oranges! I imagine this recipe has the same flavor.

It’s probably pretty similar! I’ll have to try it sometime with a whole orange—that sounds really good!
