Mayflower Munch Mix

Here’s a fun, easy, sweet-and-salty snack that’s perfect to enjoy as Thanksgiving approaches. It’s a yummy mix of Corn Chex™ cereal, candy corn, dried cranberries, pretzel sticks, and M&Ms® candy. Each ingredient represents something that ties into the First Thanksgiving, so it’s a great way to help celebrate this special time of year!

The Corn Chex™ cereal and candy corn represent the corn that was plentiful at the Pilgrims’ first autumn harvest. The dried cranberries represent the Northeastern part of the United States where the settlers landed. The pretzel sticks represent the forest and logs the settlers used to build their homes. And the M&M candies are a reminder of the Mayflower, the ship the settlers sailed in to the New World.

This snack mix just takes minutes to make and it’s so easy, the kids can help or even make it themselves! 🙂
