The Easiest (TikTok) Cinnamon Rolls

Super-easy cinnamon roll ideas are all over social media! They’re also known as TikTok Cinnamon Rolls. I’ve been wanting to try them out for awhile, and I finally had a chance! These are what you could call semi-homemade—the “recipe” uses a can of store-bought cinnamon rolls from the refrigerated section and heavy whipping cream. You can’t get any simpler than that, right? And these are not only super-simple, but super-yummy! They bake up nice and fluffy, and the whipping cream gives them a wonderfully moist texture.

For this recipe, I used this brand and type of canned cinnamon rolls: Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing. I used a square 8″ cake pan to bake them in (you could also use a 9″ square pan) and I also used just a little more heavy cream than some of the other versions of this recipe do.

When arranging the unbaked rolls in the 8″ or 9″ square pan, you’ll need to cut the 5th roll in half so they’ll all fit (refer to the photo above). This recipe makes 5 cinnamon rolls, but if you want to make 10, just double the recipe and bake them in a larger oval baking dish or a 9×13″ baking pan.

After you place the cinnamon roll dough in the pan, you just pour the heavy cream over them and bake! And you’ll end up with the tastiest cinnamon rolls…yum!

THE EASIEST (TikTok) CINNAMON ROLLS by NancyC
Makes 5 cinnamon rolls

1 can (5-count) Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing (the icing is included in the can)
1/2 cup plus 1 Tablespoon heavy whipping cream

Preheat oven to 350˚F. Grease or spray an 8″ or 9″ square baking pan.

Open the can of cinnamon rolls and arrange rolls in your prepared pan (save the little container of icing in the can to use later). Pour the heavy whipping cream over the tops of all the cinnamon rolls—they should be fully coated with the cream.

Bake at 350˚F for 25 to 27 minutes, until golden. Remove from oven and spread the icing from the cinnamon roll can on the tops of the cinnamon rolls while they are warm. Serve immediately.

These are so good when you serve them while still warm! If you have to make them a little ahead of time, you could reheat them, but warm from the oven is best! 🙂

One of these days, I’ll have to try making homemade cinnamon rolls, but this recipe sure comes in handy when you need to make something quick and easy! Have you tried making cinnamon rolls like this?

  1. That is a genius idea! I’ve never seen cinnamon rolls baked in cream before but I love that idea…keeps them moist and adds an extra layer of richness. What a treat!
