Trail mix is such a great snack and so easy to make! I make a mix with some healthy ingredients I usually have on hand—dried cranberries, coconut flakes, roasted almonds, chopped dates, and of course, dark chocolate chips! If you’re not crazy about dates, you can chop up your favorite energy or protein bar and use that instead! I often use different chocolate flavors of Lärabars in this trail mix instead of dates! RX BARs would be good too!
This Dark Chocolate-Almond Trail Mix is such an easy recipe and you can make it in no time! It’s perfect when you want a healthy sweet snack! This makes 2 1/2 cups, but if you want a larger amount, you can always double the recipe.

It’s nice when a snack is both yummy and healthy, isn’t it? What healthy snacks do you like to keep on hand?
This is a lovely blend of flavors. So many possibilities!
We used to call this gorp, somewhere along the line everyone started calling it trail mix!

I remember when it was called gorp! You don’t hear that word much anymore!
