Fruit salads are perfect for serving on hot summer days. You can make this salad any time of the year, but it seems to taste especially good in the summer! The Honey-Lime Dressing gives the fruit a light sweet flavor with a little zing. It’s a nice side dish for any summer meal—breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner—and makes a great dish for a potluck, picnic, or baby or bridal shower, too (you’ll want to double or triple the recipe for a larger crowd).
Fruit Salad with Honey-Lime Dressing
FRUIT SALAD WITH HONEY-LIME DRESSING by NancyC
Makes 6 servings
- 7 cups of your favorite fresh fruit (cut larger fruit into chunks, wedges, or slices—smaller fruit, like grapes, can be halved; fruit that works well in this salad include: strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, kiwi, mango, papaya, pineapple, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, watermelon, seedless grapes, peaches)
- 1 1/2 to 2 Tablespoons fresh or bottled lime juice
- 4 Tablespoons honey
Combine fruit in a large bowl. In small bowl, make the dressing by mixing the lime juice and honey, blending well. Drizzle this dressing over the fruit in the large bowl and toss well to coat all the fruit, then serve, or chill until ready to serve (toss fruit salad just before serving).
Note: In cool weather months, you can make this salad with other seasonal fruits like pears, apples, oranges, and bananas.

There are lots of different fruits you can use in this salad. I especially like including all kinds of fresh berries and melons. What are your favorite fruits to use in a salad like this?

That’s a simple, and paleo, dressing. I like it! Sounds like it’d go great with the fruit.

I didn’t realize the dressing was paleo—thanks for mentioning that! I try to use honey or maple syrup whenever I can as a sweetener instead of sugar.
