Easy, Cheesy Garlic Bread

Garlic bread is so good as a snack or served with pasta, soup, or chili. I really like this Easy, Cheesy Garlic Bread because it’s so good and cheesy! 🙂 This is made with both Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese—the more cheese the better, right? I also used a loaf of French wheat bread instead of regular French bread, just because I like wheat bread, but you can use white or wheat—whatever you prefer!

This cheesy garlic bread makes a yummy appetizer and you can also serve it as a snack for game day. And it’s always a great choice to round out your lunch or dinner menu!

EASY, CHEESY GARLIC BREAD by NancyC

  • 1 loaf of unsliced French Bread (I used a 13-ounce loaf)
  • 4 Tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning, divided
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (not the grated kind)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoons garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350˚F. Slice bread in half lengthwise and place the two halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet.

Spread butter on cut surfaces. Sprinkle with half of the Italian seasoning, then top with Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.

Sprinkle with the garlic powder and remaining Italian seasoning.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut crosswise into 1 to 2-inch pieces, and serve warm.

I never get tired of eating garlic bread! Do you have a favorite recipe for that?

I’d be afraid to make this because I would probably eat the entire loaf immediately. Maybe I’ll just eat make it and call it dinner.

I ate half of one of the loaf halves when I made it…but I could have easily eaten the whole thing! 🙂 It’s hard to resist when it comes out of the oven! 🙂

Your photo made me hungry… and when I read the recipe, it looks like something I (with no cooking skills whatsoever) can actually try! Thanks for sharing!

Made this with pepperoni on half and mushrooms on the other cut into sticks and served with warm pizza sauce. Easy dinner for a movie night.
