Autumn in November

It looked like the world was covered in a cobbler crust of brown sugar and cinnamon.

—SARAH ADDISON ALLEN, American author

NOVEMBER…when nature’s colors get richer, the weather gets colder, and the days get shorter. We enjoy the coziness of home more…scented candles, hot cider, warm blankets, and pumpkin bread fresh from the oven. We look forward to Thanksgiving and gathering with family and friends. We savor this quieter time before the busy rush of December and pause to reflect on all we are thankful for—the people in our lives, the comforts we enjoy, the health we are blessed with, and so much more. The arrival of November not only brings us the beauty of the colorful outdoors, it also brings us special moments to enjoy inside…and time to remember all the wonderful things that warm our hearts throughout the year.

May November be a special month for you as you enjoy the autumn and Thanksgiving season!

  1. Our lovely autumn colors are already mostly gone especially after this past week’s snow. I do love those bright colors though and Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday for many years now.

  2. Even though I am most thankful for Christmas because of Christ’s birth, it is a an exhausting holiday due to all of my own traditions. Thanksgiving always seems to be the sweetest most reflective time of the year. We have a lot to be thankful for!

    • I agree, Denise! Thanksgiving isn’t quite so hectic and busy, and it’s nice to have a holiday that reminds us to reflect on all the blessings we have!
