Happy Easter

This Easter Day has been very cold, cloudy, and rainy–it feels more like winter here than spring! I hope you’re having a warmer, sunnier day. At least for those of us who have rain or snow, we can enjoy having pretty spring flowers inside, right? These daffodils were growing wild in a field, so I picked some the other day–they sure brighten things up!

Of course, even without pretty spring flowers, this day is a special one as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. And it has been a wonderful day so far, despite the cold. I just got back home after seeing a movie later this afternoon with a friend. We had intended to see “I Can Only Imagine” or “Paul, Apostle of Christ” but they were both sold out. So we ended up seeing “God’s Not Dead.” It was a very good movie and all the actors were great in this, so hope you get a chance to see it. The title of this movie actually ties in really well with Easter–God’s Not Dead…Jesus is Risen…that’s what this day is all about, right?

Hope you are having a very special Easter!

Very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.  They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.

The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!
