End your journey well. Don’t waste your life, and don’t be satisfied with anything less than God’s plan. –Billy Graham (1918–2018)
On Wednesday, February 21, I saw the headlines in the news that you probably saw too–most read something like “Evangelist Billy Graham, 99, Dies.” I would have liked to have seen a headline that read, “Billy Graham is more Alive than Ever.” Because that’s the reality–he’s in heaven now, so much more alive than we can ever imagine. He will be greatly missed here, but what a wonderful reunion he must be having with those who have gone before him–his wife Ruth, his family and friends, and countless people whose lives were touched by his preaching.
The quote I’m sharing above, by Billy Graham, is so true of his own life. He was faithful and obedient to God’s calling, leaving a rich legacy for all of us. Now he has moved on to all the joys of eternity with Christ in his new heavenly home.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life. JOHN 5:24 NKJV
