I have gone through lots of cutting boards in my time! 🙂 They don’t seem to last very long for me before they start getting scratched up and worn out. But lately I’ve been using a wonderful new cutting board I received, compliments of Epicurean. Epicurean is a kitchenware company based in Duluth, MN and is known for using unique eco-friendly materials to make great kitchen products–like their durable line of cutting boards.
The cutting board I received is from their Gourmet Series and it’s a really nice cutting board. One side has a juice grove, which is handy when you’re cutting fruits, and the other side is flat–so you can use either side, depending on what type of food prep you’re doing. I’ve been using it to cut and chop lots of fruit and veggies mostly, and haven’t noticed any marks on it yet! And I really like the look and design of it. The color of my board is called “natural,” but it’s also available in a darker brown “nutmeg” and black “slate.” It’s the nicest, sturdiest cutting board I’ve had.
Epicurean also has cutting boards with handles (which are great for slicing and serving bread or cheese on), colorful recycled poly cutting boards, fruit-shaped boards, animal-shaped boards, and even boards in the shape of some states. All are durable and dishwasher safe. And I really like that these boards are eco-friendly, too! They’re made in the U.S. and distributed worldwide. So if you’re looking for a good-quality cutting board, you can read more about these at the Epicurean site.
Do you have a special cutting board or surface you like to use?
Looks like a great one!

That is a nice looking cutting board and I always like one that has a groove to catch juices so that you don’t have a mess on the counter top.

Hi Nancy, I’ve had an Epicurean cutting board for about 8 years now and it is still the best money I’ve ever spent. I heartily recommend them to anyone who’ll bother to listen!

Ahh, you know I love new kitchen toys! I still haven’t used that new mini bundt pan I purchased at Williams Sonoma. Can I still even call it new?? 😉
